 Rustic Tap Room

Colonial Tavern

In the Chesapeake Bay area, people like to brag about their crab cakes.  James Michener, author of Chesapeake, rated ours the best on the Eastern Shore.

Historic Dining Room

We have been serving the same menu in all three dining areas for 35 years.  Whichever room you choose to dine in you will enjoy great seafood dishes and black angus beef, skillfully prepared by Chef Donnie Russ and Dorothy Wilson.  Succulent crab cakes made with lump backfin meat, and luscious seafood au gratin cakes (a combination of crab, shrimp, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses) are "toothsome" as they said in Colonial times.

Guests' Favorites

While you are here be sure to enjoy famous spicy vegetable crab soup, and our fresh cut (homemade) Chesapeake Fries sprinkled with a secret seasoning that the owner Ken Gibson developed.  Once you have had our homemade onion rings coated in bread crumbs and deep fried you never want to order them anywhere else.

Did you know many folks will drive 2 -3 hours on Sunday just to have our Sunday Shore Platters served 12 noon - 5:30 p.m.?  These are our best entrees, reasonably priced, served on a platter with mashed potatoes and gravy along with a plateful of vegetables.  We are really into vegetables here!

Also, bring your family here for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Mother's Day.  We have specially priced entrees as well as the regular menu available.  Reservations not taken-everyone is served.

Oh, one more thing, we only serve the freshest, highest quality food here at the Robert Morris Inn, so come hungry, relax and enjoy the charm of this historic inn.  We'll be expecting you!
